The circus [recount]

Dad, Dad we are getting late for the circus. “I’m coming” he said and Dad quickly came and started the car, with the cra keys. We drove to the circus and finally got there after fifteen minutes. 
 At the circus, the smell was like popcorn and I could hear people chatting loudly. I could see rides, clowns, candies etc. First, I went to the candy floss shop and bought a big packet of candy floss. Then I bought a coke bottle and shared it with my Dad. The taste of the candy floss was really yummy and it made my hands really sticky after.

Teamwork

Today we were learning about Teamwork and we played a game of  not letting the balloon drop on the floor. The rule was that the balloon can not touch the ground and we can not move away from the circle because then we will be out. The last person still bouncing their balloon wins.

Birthday

On 8 February, it was my birthday. I finally turned ten. I got three special presents. The presents were a Hp Chromebook G7 Ee, a real darts board made of fabric and a basketball. I loved all of my presents and appreciated my family for bringing such lovely presents just for me, so I said”Thank you” to everybody and ate my cake. The chromebook was the latest hp chromebook. It was better than the hp chromebook g6 which wasn’t even out. My Dad bought it from the Warehouse stationery store. The darts board was from Rebel sports and it looked really expensive. The last thing I got was a basketball also from Rebel sports. On the basketball it said” Golden fresh Apple Snappz”. The normal price for the basketball was $100, but I got it for $50. All the stuff was quite expensive and i was surprised.

Air Ambulance

Air Ambulance helps the sick people. They help them get to the hospital quickly from far distances. They also rescue people that are lost in the forests and need help to get back to the hospital. They help a lot of people on a helicopter. Air ambulance also helps people that are nearly drowning in the water. Only the professionals at flying planes are aloud to go save people's lives.  

Willie Apiata

The person that I am researching is Willie Apiata. He was a soldier that worked at New Zealand Special Air Service. He was born at Mangakino, New Zealand. Willie Apiata became the first New Zealand soldier to be awarded the “Victoria Cross” since World War II.
