Kate Shepard was born on the 10th of March, 1847, in Liverpool, England. She moved to New Zealand in the late 1860s. She died in 19 July, 1934, in New Zealand, Christchurch.
Kate Shepard is a woman who founded the Women's Christian temperance Union {WCTU}  in 1885. This organisation helps people avoid the bad influence of alcohol on families.
After a while, she became the leader of suffrage campaign. That is why she is on the ten dollar note.

The women that I think should be on the ten dollar note, is Mother Teresa. She is a loyal and brave female that helps needy people. She is also known as Mother Teresa of Kolkata [ Mother Teresa of Calcutta ].She was the founder of the missionaries of charity in 1950. On October 17th,1979, Mother Teresa won the Nobel Peace Prize.
