SPCA

SPCA Organisation helps sick and injured animals. They give the animals injections and protect them from harms. People can donate their animals to the SPCA or they can adopt an animal. I am interested in SPCA because I love animals and some of them are really faithful. I have a pet in India and it always lets us know if there is any trouble by barking really loudly. Some animals are very cute and very nice.

10 foods to sea

If i were to go on a trip at sea, the 10 things I would bring with me are:

1.bananas.

2.25 pack water bottles with 10 in each.

3. Nachos

4. 5 bottles of juice.

5. Cookies.

6. Spaghetti (Can food)

7. cherry's

8.oranges.

9.watermelon.

10. Bread jam

Whoosh, as I went into space,I was nervous and also really brave at the same time. Finally, I had been the first American person to walk on the moon. It felt like jumping on a really bouncy trampoline. I like jumping on trampolines and I also liked jumping on the moon. Then finally after a while, I knew I had to go because I was running out of oxygen. So then I went back to my ship and said"goodbye"to the moon.

My culture

Hi, My name is Gurpuneet Singh and my family came from India in 2011. My favourite sweet is kaju barfi. My favourite place to go to is the Golden temple. My family speaks punjabi language. The thing that is really important and special to me is my family. We all do fun and spend quality time together. I belong to a Sikh religion. In our religion, we have ten gurus Guru Nanak dev ji, Guru Angad dev ji, Guru Amar das ji, Guru Ram das ji, Guru Arjun dev ji, Guru Hargobind Singh ji, Guru Har Rai ji, Guru Har Krishan ji, Guru Teg Bahadur ji, Guru Gobind Singh ji. But now our Guru is Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji. It has became true that if anyone tries to steal gold from the golden temple, that person will lose their eye sight. There was also a lucky fish that used to live in the golden temple pond, we call it sarovar. The fish had a ring on its nose and if somebody saw that fish they would have become lucky. But today people believe this fish is no longer alive, because it died long ago. There are lots of other colorful fishes in the golden temple water.
In our culture, we do arranged marriages. Love marriages are not common in our culture. Girls after marriage live with their In-laws family and boys live with their parents. We don't smoke or drink. We always pray to our God in the morning and night. We live with our parents and look after them in their old age.

Parihaka

In class for religious education we are learning about Parihaka.
Parihaka is village in Taranaki. The chiefs of parihaka were Te Whiti o Rongomai and Tohu Kākahi and they both liked Jesus and trusted in him. The people of Parihaka believed in the chief because the albatross feather fell on Tohu's marae and also they believed in the albatross because it was the bird of mana [spiritual power]. One day they were getting attacked by the soliders. The soliders were putting them in jail because they wanted to take over their land. Instead fighting with the soldiers, the women made bread for the soliders and the children danced on the road. 

I enjoyed reading the story of Parihaka because it teachs us not to fight on but to stay calm and happy.
I found it hard to Polyline the feather of the albatross.

The dragon slayer

In Room 1 we are learning to structure our writing.

I found it easy to describe the setting.

In a time when dragons threatened mankind. Only one man was to stop them. On a stormy night Tarragon the dragon slayer trudged on the desert road on his battle horse , Black bull.

 Finally after a long journey through the desert, Tarragon found the dragon's lair. He had his armour on and he had his long sharp sword and shield with him. He woke the dragon up and they started fighting. After a few hours of fighting Tarragon stabs the sword in the dragon’s stomach and the dragon slowly dies.

After fighting the dragon ,Tarragon was so tired. He headed back to his horse and as he was about to go back, he found a little baby dragon. At first he looked at it and ignored it. But after he felt sorry for it. So he threw away his shield and put him on the horse. Then two more came and sweetly at him. He sighed for a moment and loaded them up too. But there was no more space for him ,so he just walked along.

The Materialiser doctor
